OpenEdge Core Business Services

OpenEdge® provides core business services that support all levels of application development, deployment, and management. A core business service is functionality built into core components of the OpenEdge platform (OpenEdge RDBMS and Progress® 4GL) that support common business services required by many enterprise applications. A common business service can include any number of business functions shared by a variety of applications that are typically provided by the application developer. Examples of common business services include user login, application event logging, and data integrity checking.
